Integrity House Chief Clinical Officer Gibson joins NJAMHAA board of directors

Integrity House, one of New Jersey’s leading nonprofit providers of substance use disorder and mental health services, announced Wednesday that its Chief Clinical Officer, Eman Gibson has been elected to the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA).

Gibson will serve a four-year term as an At-Large Board Member through June 30, 2030.

Gibson’s appointment ensures that Integrity House maintains a prominent voice within the association’s leadership. She succeeds Robert Budsock, president and CEO of Integrity House, who is stepping down after a distinguished 15-year tenure on the board.

Recognized for her expertise in addiction treatment standards and integrated care, Gibson is a highly regarded figure in the behavioral health community. She currently serves as Vice Chair of NJAMHAA’s Addiction Practice Group and Co-Chair of the New Jersey Department of Human Services’ Professional Advisory Committee. Her contributions to the field were recently honored with NJAMHAA’s 2025 Champion of Clinical & Operational Excellence Award.

“Eman’s election to the Board reflects her deep knowledge of the field, her dedication to quality care and her ability to bring providers together around shared challenges and solutions,” Robert Budsock said. “We are proud to see her take on this leadership role and continue representing the perspectives of community-based treatment providers across the state.”

Strengthening behavioral health advocacy

In her new role, Gibson will help guide NJAMHAA’s strategic mission to improve New Jersey’s behavioral health landscape. Her work will focus on advocating for policies that expand access to high-quality mental health and addiction treatment services for individuals and families statewide.

“Throughout my career, I have seen the importance of collaboration among providers, policymakers and advocates in addressing the complex challenges facing behavioral health care,” said Gibson. “I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to continue to support NJAMHAA’s mission and advance solutions that improve care and outcomes.”

As a key partner to providers across New Jersey, NJAMHAA serves as a vital advocate for behavioral health policy. Gibson’s appointment is expected to bolster the association’s efforts to foster innovation and clinical excellence within the sector.
