GoNetspeed, the Northeast’s largest independent fiber internet provider, has announced plans to deploy a 100% fiber-optic network across Parlin. Backed by a privately funded $4.5 million investment, the infrastructure expansion will introduce symmetrical multigigabit internet speeds to more than 3,100 area homes and businesses.
Construction on the network is slated to begin this winter, with the first residential and commercial customers expected to hook up to the high-speed grid as early as winter 2027.
Future-proofing local infrastructure
The deployment brings dedicated fiber-optic lines directly to properties, bypassing older, bottleneck-prone copper and cable infrastructure. Customers will have access to symmetrical upload and download speeds, ranging from 500 Mbps to 6 Gbps.

Expanding footprint across New Jersey
The Parlin expansion represents the latest phase of GoNetspeed’s aggressive, $110 million state-level network rollout. The company is simultaneously managing several massive construction projects across New Jersey, including:
- South River and East Brunswick: A $13.6 million infrastructure installation currently underway.
- Rahway, Clark Township, Linden, and Woodbridge: A separate, $43 million regional expansion project planned to boost broadband choice and speeds.
