MAVRX Sports Housing, a leader in specialized corporate housing, has announced its acquisition of Toms River-based Top Performance Housing (TPH). The strategic merger unites two prominent, women-led organizations dedicated to providing specialized, high-touch housing solutions for professional athletes, coaches, and sports organizations.
With the U.S. serviced apartment market projected to reach $44 billion by 2033, the acquisition positions MAVRX to accelerate its national footprint by integrating TPH’s local expertise and operational strength into its proprietary tech platform.
Unlike typical volume-based corporate housing providers, MAVRX operates with a specialized, athlete-first approach. The company caters specifically to a roster-capped population across major professional leagues—including the MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL—alongside their respective developmental systems.
“We’re building a stronger company by bringing together talented people, operational expertise, and technology that improves the experience for our clients,” Nicolette Hawthorne, founder and CEO of MAVRX Sports Housing said. “Together, we’ll serve more athletes and continue raising the standard for sports housing.”
As part of the acquisition, TPH founder and New Jersey resident Kim Schimenek will join MAVRX as chief sales officer. In her new role, Schimenek will lead the combined company’s sales strategy and strengthen nationwide partner relationships.
“I’ve always believed success is built on integrity and doing the right thing for every client,” Schimenek said. “Seeing those values with MAVRX made this a natural fit. Our clients will now benefit from a larger inventory, an exceptional service team, and MAVRX’s innovative technology that simplifies the housing experience.”
While TPH operations will transition under the MAVRX brand, current clients have been assured of uninterrupted service, alongside enhanced access to an expanded inventory and broader market coverage across more than 30 states.
