Delta Dental of New Jersey launches new DeltaVision benefits to advance whole-person health

Delta Dental of New Jersey has announced the launch of new DeltaVision plans across New Jersey and Connecticut, expanding its suite of employee benefits to promote whole-person wellness through integrated dental and vision care.

The Parsippany-based dental benefits leader, which serves more than 2.2 million people across the region, designed the new plans to help local employers offer flexible, high-quality eye care benefits. The expansion builds on Delta Dental’s established presence as a trusted health care partner by offering plan administration alongside broad provider access.

“At Delta Dental, we believe that preventive care is central to helping people live healthier lives,” Paul Di Maio, president and CEO of Delta Dental of New Jersey and Delta Dental of Connecticut said. “By offering DeltaVision plan enhancements, we are continuing to expand that commitment beyond dental coverage and making it easier for members to access benefits—like vision care—that support long-term wellbeing.”

The launch introduces three distinct DeltaVision plans issued by Delta Dental of Connecticut and administered alongside Delta Dental of New Jersey’s programs to meet modern workforce demands:

  • DeltaVision Elite: Tailored for screen-heavy lifestyles, remote workers, students, and digital professionals, this plan features benefits that actively support digital eye wellness.
  • DeltaVision LightCare Brilliance: Provides flexible eyewear coverage, allowing members to utilize benefits for non-prescription eyewear.
  • DeltaVision Ultimate: A premium, comprehensive plan offering the highest allowances for frames and contact lenses to give members maximum choice.
  • One & Sun Rider: An optional add-on that employers can purchase with any DeltaVision plan. The rider rewards subscribers with premium sunglasses at no out-of-pocket cost simply for completing their annual eye exam.

In addition to correcting vision, regular eye care plays an important role in overall disease prevention. Comprehensive eye exams can often detect early indicators of chronic health conditions before other symptoms arise.

“People often think about vision care only when they need glasses or contacts, but eye health is about much more than seeing clearly,” Dr. Chad Overman, optometric advisor to Delta Dental of New Jersey and Connecticut, said. “Regular eye exams can help identify issues like signs of diabetes, hypertension, dry eye, computer vision syndrome, glaucoma, and many others earlier. Providing comprehensive vision insurance and helping connect people to care before problems become more serious are keys for overall health and wellness.”
