Continuing its strategic growth trajectory across dense regional markets, national supply chain and logistics provider NPD Logistics on Thursday announced it completed the acquisition of Urban Direct, a New York City-based priority overnight shipping company specializing in strict 10:30 a.m. next-day delivery.
The transaction fully integrates Urban Direct’s operations, proprietary technology, and established client relationships under Newark-based NPD Logistics’ brand.
Founded by Scott Kauffman, Urban Direct has cultivated a robust customer base centered around small- and medium-sized enterprises, with specialized service-sensitive expertise in the legal, dental, and parts-and-tools sectors. The integration adds a proven, time-critical delivery capability to NPD Logistics’ existing national network, further reinforcing its service footprint in complex metropolitan environments.
