Crum & Forster makes record corporate donation to Morristown Medical Center for new cardiovascular suite

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center announced a landmark financial commitment from Morristown-based property and casualty insurer Crum & Forster to establish the Crum & Forster Noninvasive Diagnostic Suite at the Atlantic Health Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute.

Marking the largest corporate donation in the history of the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center, the transformational gift will fund a state-of-the-art facility designed to fast-track the early detection of heart conditions and expand patient access to precise, evidence-based treatments.

The new suite will feature:

  • 18 Recovery Bays
  • 2 Advanced Procedural Suites
  • Dedicated Charting Areas for multidisciplinary clinical teams

Fueling a broader expansion in heart care

The corporate contribution anchors a larger $9 million fundraising initiative aimed at expanding the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute’s footprint. The broader campaign will add two new cardiac catheterization labs, two new electrophysiology (EP) labs, and specialized post-procedure recovery rooms tailored for ambulatory patients.

“At Crum & Forster, our commitment to community runs as deep as our more than 200-year legacy, and this donation to Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center reflects the values that define who we are,” Marc Adee, chief executive officer of Crum & Forster, said. “Supporting the development of the Crum & Forster Noninvasive Diagnostic Suite is more than a financial contribution — it’s an investment in the health and well-being of our community.”

A four-decade partnership

The gift builds on a robust, four-decade partnership rooted in shared community wellness between the Morristown-based insurance leader—founded in 1822—and the medical center.

Nearly 100,000 patients receive cardiovascular care annually at the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, home to one of the largest catheterization programs in the nation. With minimally invasive structural heart and electrophysiology procedures surging, hospital leadership notes that the investment comes at a vital time.

“This incredibly generous donation will ensure that Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center will continue to meet the growing demand of cardiovascular care,” Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President of Morristown Medical Center and Senior Vice President of Atlantic Health, said.

Dr. Linda Gillam, chair of Cardiovascular Medicine and Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line, added that the contribution will help secure the Institute’s status as a regional, national, and international leader in cardiovascular medicine.
