Benker promoted to run facilities across Kearny Bank’s 40-plus locations

Moves up to senior vice president/director of Facilities and Administrative Services after two decades with the bank

Daniel Benker is getting a bigger stack of keys.

Kearny Bank has promoted the Hewitt resident to senior vice president/director of Facilities and Administrative Services, stepping up from his previous role as first vice president overseeing the same division.

Benker, who joined Kearny Bank in 2004, runs a division with a long reach: facilities operations at more than 40 locations, procurement, administrative services, mailroom operations, property management, fleet management, life safety, branch maintenance, capital improvement projects and regulatory compliance.

Erika Sacher, Kearny Bank’s executive vice president and chief administrative officer, said Benker’s team keeps the bank’s day-to-day operations running.

“Daniel consistently leads a cross-functional team that maximizes the efficiency of our operations and facilities,” Sacher said. “His oversight is instrumental in ensuring that our clients and employees have access to the resources needed for success.”

Benker has more than 20 years of experience in banking and is an award-winning member of the International Facilities Management Association.

Kearny Bank, founded in 1884 and now headquartered in Fairfield, operates across most of New Jersey along with Brooklyn and Staten Island.
