Fulfill, a leading regional anti-hunger organization, has appointed three accomplished professionals—John Salata, Stephanie Taylor Ayers and Nancy Riordan—to its Board of Trustees.
Bringing decades of combined expertise in finance, corporate leadership, education, and community advocacy, the new trustees join the organization as it expands its strategic leadership to tackle evolving food insecurity across Monmouth and Ocean counties.
For more than four decades, Fulfill has served as a cornerstone for food security in the Jersey Shore region, providing millions of meals annually alongside programs for workforce development, benefits enrollment, and healthy food investments.
Board Chair Susan Kyrillos emphasized the vital timing of the appointments:
“As the need for food assistance continues to evolve, strong leadership has never been more important. We’re thrilled to welcome John, Stephanie and Nancy to our Board of Trustees. Their diverse backgrounds, strategic expertise, and shared commitment to serving others will help position Fulfill to meet today’s challenges,” she said.
Meet the new trustees
The incoming board members bring a robust mix of corporate acumen and grassroots community involvement:
- John Salata: Retired as a senior leadership partner from Deloitte LLP in 2024, Salata brings over 40 years of financial, governance, and strategic management experience. He previously advised major national retail organizations and chaired audit and governance committees on Deloitte’s U.S. and Global Boards of Directors.
- Stephanie Taylor Ayers: A retired National Senior Group Manager at Verizon Communications, Taylor Ayers brings extensive operational leadership and stakeholder management experience. A recipient of Verizon’s prestigious Masters Award, she is already an active community volunteer, contributing her time to Fulfill’s Audit Committee and Mobile Pantry, as well as Pilgrim Baptist Church’s community dinners.
- Nancy Riordan: A retired educator, former small business owner, and former Brielle Board of Education member with over three decades of public service. During her tenure in local education, Riordan successfully led school expansion referendums and authored an award-winning district nutrition policy, championing the belief that proper nutrition is foundational to health and dignity.
This latest round of appointments continues an aggressive expansion of Fulfill’s leadership team, marking six new trustees who have joined the organization since August 2025. This steady growth in governance mirrors Fulfill’s expanding operational footprint and its ongoing mission to ensure that every resident in Monmouth and Ocean counties has reliable access to nutritious food and long-term stability resources.
