Marking three and a half decades of expanding affordable housing, Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity is hosting its milestone “Building Hope” Gala on Friday, Sept. 25 at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren.
Since its founding in 1991, the organization has partnered with local families across Somerset and Hunterdon counties to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
The anniversary gala will bring together community leaders, volunteers, and supporters for an evening featuring an open bar, gourmet sit-down dinner, music and dancing with Spinners Entertainment, a silent auction, a tricky tray, and a 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships—led by corporate partners including Somerset Regal Bank, Elite Properties, Unity Bank, and The Zullo Group—will directly fund the organization’s expansive upcoming pipeline of community projects.
“For 35 years, our community has come together to open doors for our neighbors,” Jeff Cromie, resource development manager for Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity, said. “Every ticket and every sponsorship translates directly into homes built, repairs completed, and families given a foundation to build better lives.”
The funds raised at the gala will fuel a busy operational schedule across the region:
- New Construction & Renovations: Ongoing renovations on Girard Avenue in Franklin Township will soon be followed by three new home builds on Main Street, Kossuth Street, and Churchill Avenue. New construction is also planned for Lambertville.
- Critical Home Repairs: The organization aims to execute more than 60 home repairs for seniors, veterans, and vulnerable neighbors.
- Neighborhood & Educational Outreach: Plans include at least 10 Neighborhood Revitalization projects alongside financial literacy education through the Almost Home program.
