Community members, corporate partners, and local supporters are preparing to hit the links for a powerful cause. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey (BBBSCNNJ) has announced its 6th Annual Big Shots Golf Classic, taking place on Oct. 5, at Fairmount Country Club in Chatham.
The signature fundraising event directly supports BBBSCNNJ’s mission to create and sustain life-changing, one-to-one mentoring relationships for young people facing adversity across 10 New Jersey counties.
Funds raised during the tournament enable BBBSCNNJ to rigorously recruit, screen, train, and support adult volunteer mentors. These vital resources ensure that children and teens have consistent, trusted role models who help build their confidence, expand their opportunities, and foster long-term success.
“When a young person has a caring adult in their corner, they gain confidence, opportunity, and support that can last a lifetime,” William Salcedo, executive director of BBBSCNNJ said. “The Big Shots Golf Classic is more than a day on the course. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together and create more of these life-changing connections.”
Celebrating 50 years of community impact, BBBSCNNJ serves youth across Bergen, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren counties.
The day at Fairmount Country Club will feature a full round of golf, interactive contests, prizes, networking, and opportunities for participants to learn more about the profound regional impact of youth mentorship.
