Parker Health Group, a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of aging services, has announced the appointment of Mark Lenhard, MS, LNFA, as its next president and chief executive officer.
Lenhard will step into the role in December 2026, succeeding longtime leader Roberto Muñiz, who is retiring after nearly 28 years at the helm of the organization.

- Incoming CEO: Mark Lenhard brings over 30 years of executive experience across senior living, long-term care, and post-acute services. He currently serves as President & CEO of United Methodist Communities (UMC) and the UMC Foundation.
- Outgoing Legacy: Roberto Muñiz concludes a remarkable 28-year tenure. Since joining Parker in 1998, Muñiz grew the organization from two nursing homes serving 110 residents into a comprehensive network touching more than 16,000 older adults and their families annually through residential, home-based, and community programs.
- A Storied History: Parker’s leadership transition marks a rare milestone for the nonprofit; over the past half-century, only two individuals have served as its CEO.
During his tenure at UMC starting in 2022, Lenhard spearheaded significant periods of growth and modernization. Under his direction, the organization launched BEAM Consulting—which helps aging services leverage technology and artificial intelligence—and created Connexion Communities to expand its senior care mission outside of New Jersey.
“Mark’s extensive aging services experience, collaborative leadership style, and track record of innovation distinguished him throughout the search,” Dr. Steven Landers, Chair of Parker’s Board of Trustees, noting that the board conducted a comprehensive national search to find a leader dedicated to Parker’s person-centered culture.
