Trinity Health LIFE New Jersey has named Amanda Laarz as its new executive director. In her new role, Laarz will guide the organization in providing compassionate, comprehensive support and a healing presence for older adults in the community.
Laarz brings 16 years of industry experience to the position and is a board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist. Her background spans extensive expertise in physical therapy, leadership, and clinical operations management. Previously, she served as the rehabilitation manager for Mercy LIFE of Pennsylvania, where she provided clinical and operational support across six centers and religious communities.
Driven by a passion for comprehensive senior care, Laarz expressed deep admiration for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) model.
“More than any other health care model I’ve worked with, PACE allows us to directly address social determinants of health and the many factors that impact a participant’s well-being beyond medical care alone,” said Laarz. “I believe this comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach gives us the greatest opportunity to help older adults maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and remain in their communities.”
Educational background and future leadership
- Undergraduate Studies: Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.
- Clinical Doctorate: Doctor of Physical Therapy from Drexel University.
- Ongoing Education: Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Eastern University, with an anticipated graduation in 2027.
