Withum, SAX and WilkinGuttenplan are among five New Jersey accounting firms named to INSIDE Public Accounting’s 2026 “Best of the Best” list.
Each year, IPA recognizes 75 firms across North America for financial and operational performance: 60 with more than $10 million in net revenue, 10 with less than $10 million and five in Canada.
More than 600 firms took part in IPA’s 2026 Practice Management Survey, and honorees were scored on more than 35 metrics, including net revenue growth, leverage, governance practices, long-range planning, professional development, outsourcing strategies, compensation models and process improvement.
The New Jersey honorees, with their leaders and net revenue as reported by IPA:

Traphagen & Traphagen is on the list of firms with less than $10 million in revenue. The other four are among the firms with more than $10 million.
For SAX, it’s the seventh year in a row on the list. The recognition caps a year of strong growth: The firm said it grew 13.4% organically in fiscal 2025, nearly double the 7% average IPA reported for its 100 largest firms, and it reported $138 million in revenue.
“Seven straight years on the Best of the Best list says a great deal about the culture our team has created at SAX,” Damiano said. “This achievement belongs to our people. Our goal is to be the first call a client makes and the work our team does every day to earn that is what keeps us on this list.”
IPA has recognized high-performing firms for nearly three decades, and it says size, structure and footprint have never been the deciding factor. Instead, the program rewards disciplined management, strategic vision and steady growth.
That’s why two smaller firms — Cg Tax Audit & Advisory and Traphagen & Traphagen — share the list with three of the biggest names in New Jersey accounting.
