Building on the community dialogue sparked last November, Valley Hospice is inviting community members, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to continue the conversation on end-of-life care with The Final Act Part II: Setting the Stage for Hospice Care.
The live theatrical production will take place on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the West Side Presbyterian Church, located at 6 South Monroe Street in Ridgewood.
Exploring the realities of the hospice journey
Using storytelling, drama, humor, and education, the production offers a compassionate and realistic look at what hospice care truly provides. Rather than focusing solely on the final days of life, the program highlights comprehensive support services, including:
- Expert symptom management
- Emotional and spiritual support
- Caregiver education and crisis prevention
- Guidance through difficult health transitions
“Many people are unfamiliar with hospice care or don’t learn about its benefits until they are facing difficult circumstances,” Maribeth Kearney, director of Valley Hospice said. “This production offers an engaging and approachable way to learn about hospice while creating space for important conversations about care, comfort, and quality of life.”
