The indoor pickleball boom in New Jersey is expanding yet again. Pickleball Kingdom, a leading indoor pickleball franchise, has announced its newest club location at 465 Green Street in Woodbridge.
Slated to open in early 2027, the expansive 42,508-square-foot facility will be located within Woodbridge Crossing near the Woodbridge Center Mall. It marks the fifth Pickleball Kingdom location announced in the Garden State, following clubs in Hamilton, Tinton Falls, Watchung and Hillsborough.
The upcoming club will feature a robust suite of amenities designed for players of all ages and skill levels, including:
- 14 professional-grade indoor climate-controlled courts for year-round play
- A half court and two warm-up walls
- Two large party rooms for events and gatherings
- Advanced on-court instant replay technology and digital scoreboards
- Comprehensive leagues, clinics, youth programs, and community events
The franchise location is owned by entrepreneurs Vidya Rentachintala and Ramya Pasupaleti, alongside management team members Vicky and Purna, bringing decades of combined business, technology, and AI expertise to the venture.
Ace Rodrigues, Founder and CEO of Pickleball Kingdom, highlighted the significance of the leadership team behind the new facility.
“New Jersey continues to be an important part of Pickleball Kingdom’s growth,” Rodrigues said. “This Woodbridge Club will be special for several reasons, but one of them is that it has a strong female leadership team. Women make up about 50% of pickleball players, so we’re proud to have these particular women lead that charge for us.”
The leadership team aims to turn the facility into a central hub for the local community, blending competitive play with social connection.
“Our vision for Pickleball Kingdom Woodbridge is to create a place where people feel connected from the moment they walk through the doors,” Vidya Rentachintala and Ramya Pasupaleti said in a joint statement. “We want to build a community around the sport where people of all ages and skill levels can play, compete, grow, and build relationships.”
Beyond casual play, the club plans to host competitive tournaments and offer dedicated player development programs to foster the sport’s rapid growth throughout Middlesex County and beyond.
