Insmed Incorporated, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on transformative therapies for serious and rare diseases, has announced the appointment of Paul Hudson and Utpal Koppikar as independent members of its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
The strategic additions bring extensive global biopharma leadership, commercial strategy, and financial management expertise to Insmed as the company advances its growing pipeline.
Deep industry leadership and financial acumen
- Paul Hudson brings over three decades of senior executive experience across major pharmaceutical organizations. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi S.A. from September 2019 to February 2026, spearheading a major organizational transformation. Prior to Sanofi, Hudson served as CEO of Novartis Pharmaceuticals (2016–2019) and held prominent leadership roles at AstraZeneca, including President of AstraZeneca United States.
- Utpal Koppikar is a seasoned biopharma finance leader who has served as Chief Financial Officer of Verily Health Inc. since April 2023. His extensive career includes serving as Executive Vice President and CFO at Atara Biotherapeutics, alongside senior financial leadership roles at Gilead Sciences and Amgen. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for C4 Therapeutics, Inc.
Strengthening Insmed’s growth strategy
