New Jersey Urology (NJU) has announced a major expansion of its clinical services with the opening of two advanced outpatient interventional radiology (IR) centers in Monroe and Voorhees, bringing cutting-edge, minimally invasive care closer to patients across the Garden State.
Developed in partnership with IR Centers® and Prostate Centers USA®, the new facilities are led by three nationally recognized interventional radiologists: Dr. Arun Chockalingam, Dr. Gregg Khodorov and Dr. Haokang Wei.
The newly launched centers specialize in advanced embolization therapies and image-guided procedures. These techniques serve as highly effective alternatives to traditional open surgery for a range of conditions, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), chronic pelvic pain, hemorrhoidal disease, and musculoskeletal issues.
By shifting these advanced procedures to outpatient settings, patients benefit from reduced reliance on hospital-based care, faster recovery times, and highly integrated treatment pathways that streamline everything from initial diagnosis to post-procedure follow-up.
“The opening of these interventional radiology centers represents an important step in the continued evolution of New Jersey Urology,” said Dr. Gordon A. Brown, President of New Jersey Urology. “Our goal is to provide patients with access to the most advanced and effective treatment options available, while delivering care in the setting that is most convenient for them.”
As an affiliate of U.S. Urology Partners—which is backed by General Atlantic—New Jersey Urology operates more than 20 locations spanning New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Chidebelu Ufodike, Chief Operating Officer of New Jersey Urology, emphasized the operational advantages of the new launch: “This launch reflects how we want to continue growing at New Jersey Urology, bringing advanced services closer to our patients while making their care journey as seamless as possible. By integrating interventional radiology directly into our clinical network, we can better coordinate referral, consultation, treatment and follow-up…”
