Youth Consultation Service appoints Regeneron executive Jim Gibney to Board

Youth Consultation Service (YCS), one of New Jersey’s leading nonprofit behavioral health and social services agencies, has announced the appointment of Jim Gibney to its Board of Trustees.

Gibney brings more than 30 years of extensive experience in corporate compliance, ethics, and leadership to the role. He currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Compliance, Global Compliance Operations at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., following nearly two decades of leadership roles across commercial operations and corporate compliance with Pfizer.

YCS’s Board of Trustees provides strategic direction and governance to support the agency’s century-long mission of providing therapeutic care, education, and community services to vulnerable children, adults, and families across New Jersey.

“Jim’s leadership and perspective will be a valuable addition to the YCS Board of Trustees,” Tara Augustine, President and CEO of YCS, said. “His thoughtful approach to organizational culture and leadership, combined with his commitment to our mission, will help guide YCS as we continue to strengthen our services and respond to the evolving needs of the children, adults and families we serve.”

Gibney’s relationship with YCS is long-standing, beginning years ago through his volunteer efforts with the organization’s Annual Holiday Gift Drive. Beyond his corporate career and nonprofit service, Gibney is a U.S. Naval Reserve veteran who served for nine years and a former volunteer Emergency Medical Technician with the Ridgewood, Volunteer Ambulance Unit.

“I am honored to support Ycs’s mission in a new way as a trustee,” Gibney said. “For more than a century, YCS has provided critical support and opportunities to children, adults and families with complex needs throughout New Jersey. I look forward to working alongside my fellow trustees and YCS leadership to help strengthen that work and its impact in the communities it serves.”

A resident of Ridgewood, Gibney is a graduate of Rutgers University.

For over 100 years, YCS has delivered a full continuum of care for New Jersey’s most vulnerable populations. Operating 66 programs across 50 locations in 16 counties, the agency touches the lives of nearly 2,800 individuals annually through residential care, special education, and community-based programs. Backed by more than 1,200 professionals, YCS empowers at-risk children with special needs and adults with developmental disabilities to build healthier, more hopeful lives.
