NJPP promotes Brittany Holom-Trundy to research director and welcomes Kelli Parker as director of communications

As New Jersey faces critical policy decisions on health care, housing, and economic equity, New Jersey Policy Perspective (NJPP) is strengthening its leadership team with two key appointments: the promotion of Dr. Brittany Holom-Trundy to research director and the addition of award-winning journalist Kelli Parker as director of communications.

Since joining NJPP in 2020, Holom-Trundy’s research on health care system reform and socioeconomic equity has directly informed state-level policy discussions. She holds a Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton University and previously taught there and at The College of New Jersey.

Meanwhile, Parker joins NJPP as Director of Communications, bringing more than two decades of award-winning journalism and advocacy experience. A Pulitzer Prize finalist, she has worked as an editor and digital strategist for The Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News, Houston Chronicle, and The Denver Post. Most recently, she led communications and marketing at South Carolina’s Women’s Rights & Empowerment Network (WREN).

“At a time when evidence-based policy research is more crucial than ever, Brittany and Kelli represent the expertise and vision NJPP needs to drive meaningful change in New Jersey,” Nicole Rodriguez, president of NJPP said. “Their combined skills will significantly strengthen our capacity to influence policy outcomes.”
