Integrity House has recently earned accreditation renewal from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, the company announced Thursday.
This is the highest possible level of accreditation CARF designates.
CARF highlighted several organizational strengths, including Integrity House’s dedication to reducing barriers to care through evidence-based practices, its long-standing commitment to promoting from within by hiring and developing former clients, and its strong focus on client dignity and empowerment.
Surveyors also praised Integrity House for its creative arts programming, robust therapeutic communities, and initiatives aimed at serving underserved populations across New Jersey. This was done through 45 interviews with key stakeholders, including board members, referral sources, clients, clinicians, peer recovery specialists, and the medical team.
Chief clinical officer of Integrity House Eman Gibson, spoke on what it meant to see their work recognized.
“Maintaining the highest level of CARF accreditation for nearly three decades affirms our ongoing efforts to deliver high-quality, person-centered care that truly changes lives,” she said. “The inclusion of our programs at the Hudson County Correctional and Rehabilitation Center underscores our commitment to breaking down barriers to treatment and reaching individuals in all settings.”
The accreditation, awarded after an in-depth survey conducted from February 10–12, covers a variety of programs including day treatment, inpatient integrated sud/mental health treatment, intensive outpatient, outpatient, prevention, residential treatment, and therapeutic communities for both adults and criminal justice-involved individuals.
For the first time, Integrity House’s programs at the Hudson County Correctional and Rehabilitation Center were included in the accreditation process.
