Rider University’s 107.7 The Bronc nominated for College Station of the Year

107.7 The Bronc, Rider University’s student-run radio station, has recently been nominated for College Station of the Year by the National Association of Broadcasters.

This award is part of The NAB Marconi Radio Awards, established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi. Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio and are often seen as the highest recognition in the broadcast industry.

For Rider, this is the fifth nomination in the last six years. The Bronc is only one of five collegiate nations nominated for the 2025 NAB Marconi Radio Awards. This year’s winner will be announced on Oct. 21 during a special ceremony at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.

General Manager John Mozes praised their efforts leading to the nomination.

“This most recent national recognition by our fellow broadcasters from coast-to-coast caps off what’s been a strong year for 107.7 The Bronc and our passionate group of content creators,” he said.

“The students’ unbreakable spirit and impenetrable belief in how the radio station not only produces content, but also how that content impacts the student experience here at Rider University is probably the biggest reason we are able to continually provide high quality, creative content for both the campus community and everyone who tunes into The Bronc.”

107.7 The Bronc has been continually recognized for its excellence. Most recently, The Princeton Review named The Bronc as the No. 18 best college radio station in the nation. The station also earned two Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Media Awards in May.
