Cooper University Hospital earns national distinction of excellence for cardiovascular care

South Jersey health system earns ACC HeartCARE Center designation

Cooper University Hospital has recently received designation from the American College of Cardiology for its cardiovascular care program, the south Jersey hospital system announced last week.

Specifically, Cooper earned the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence from ACC after meeting a comprehensive set of standards, including participation in at least two ACC Accreditation Services programs, engagement in National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR®) registries, and involvement in targeted quality improvement initiatives.

Director of the Cooper Heart Institute and Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care Phillip Koren praised the unit for their hard work.

“This recognition reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standard of cardiovascular care to our patients,” he said.

The ACC’s suite of cardiac accreditation services supports hospitals like Cooper University Hospital in optimizing patient outcomes and enhancing operational performance across all aspects of cardiovascular care.
