NJ Golf Foundation Golf Classic raises $350K at Baltusrol Golf Club

The New Jersey Golf Foundation (NJGF)—the charitable arm of the New Jersey Section, PGA of America (NJPGA)—successfully raised $350,000 during its 20th Annual Golf Classic, hosted on August 10 at the historic Baltusrol Golf Club.

Proceeds from the signature fundraising event directly support the foundation’s core initiatives, which annually engage more than 125,000 youth, over 500 military Veterans, and upwards of 1,000 individuals with special needs.

The funds benefit initiatives like PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) for Veterans with PTSD and TBI, Special Olympics New Jersey Golf, Els for Autism, Golf in Schools, and local youth scholarships.

During the evening reception, Marc Greenberger—founder of Market Performance Group (MPG) and a Rutgers University graduate—was honored with the 2026 Chairman’s Award. Greenberger was recognized for his tireless behind-the-scenes advocacy and philanthropic dedication to the NJGF, alongside his involvement with First Tee, the YMCA, and Special Friends.

The NJGF Golf Classic at Baltusrol Golf Club is a special day that brings together friends, partners and supporters who believe in the power of golf,” NJGF Executive Director Chris Hunt said as he praised Greenberger’s consistent passion and commitment to driving the foundation’s mission forward.
