Two prominent Essex County organizations are joining forces to uplift local youth and families. Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center and The Christopher “CJ” Morgan Memorial Foundation have announced a collaborative partnership for the upcoming 2026 Wynona’s House Golf Classic, scheduled for Sept. 10, at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth.
The alliance brings together organizations dedicated to youth support at different critical stages: Wynona’s House provides comprehensive protection, healing, and advocacy for children affected by abuse, while the CJ Morgan Foundation honors the legacy of West Orange native and West Point cadet Christopher “CJ” Morgan by funding educational scholarships, leadership opportunities, and community service initiatives.
Established to reflect CJ Morgan’s lifelong commitment to faith, compassion, and service, his memorial foundation’s scholarship mission naturally aligns with Wynona’s House’s expanding focus on helping families secure long-term stability, educational resources, and financial pathways to success.
“We are honored to collaborate with The Christopher ‘CJ’ Morgan Memorial Foundation and to recognize CJ’s legacy at this year’s Golf Classic,” Robert Crocker, CEO and executive director of Wynona’s House, said. “Our work begins with protecting children from child abuse and helping them heal, but it doesn’t end there. We want children and families to have the support, connections and opportunities they need to thrive.”
“CJ believed in leading by example, encouraging others and making a difference in the lives of those around him,” April Morgan, president of The Christopher “CJ” Morgan Memorial Foundation, said. “We are proud to collaborate with Wynona’s House and continue CJ’s legacy of uplifting others and investing in future generations.”
As part of the joint initiative, participants registering for the tournament can select dedicated CJ Morgan Foundation ticket options, ensuring a designated portion of the proceeds directly supports the Foundation’s scholarship fund.
The Sept. 10 event will feature several unique elements commemorating CJ’s impact, including a special on-course dedication, a live auction experience, and an appearance by Dr. Jordan Velez.
