CoreWeave announced the appointment of Jon Jones as its first-ever chief revenue officer. Jones will lead the company’s global revenue organization, focusing on scaling products and sales to meet the demand of the rapidly growing AI industry.
Jones, a recognized AI industry leader and Silicon Valley native, brings over two decades of leadership experience through major periods of business expansion and transformation. He joins Livingston-based CoreWeave from Amazon, where he most recently served as global head of startups and venture capital and previously as vice president of Go-to-Market, Products & Services, focusing on AI innovation and cloud adoption.
The appointment comes as CoreWeave enters a period of “hypergrowth,” according to leadership.

Jones will work alongside Max Hjelm, who previously built the company’s strong Go-To-Market team and helped propel CoreWeave to its current market position as “The Essential Cloud for AI.”

CoreWeave continues to expand its platform both organically and through acquisitions like Weights & Biases, OpenPipe, and Monolith, strengthening its strategy to deepen vertical integration and give customers greater flexibility to train and optimize their AI models. The company also supports the AI ecosystem through CoreWeave Ventures, which provides capital, compute-for-equity transactions, and technical collaboration to independent founders and startups.
