Wesley Alves has recently been named CEO of Diamond Chemical Company, the East Rutherford-based cleaning solutions manufacturer company announced Monday.
Alves succeeds Harold Diamond, who will now serve as a strategic advisor during the transition.
Alves and Diamond will work together over the next few months, aimed at continuing the foundation that Diamond and the team have built over many years.
Diamond offered praise for Alves and the next steps of the company.

Alves brings more than two decades of global leadership experience in industrial manufacturing and operations. His most recent role was CEO of Armor-IIMAK, a materials group focused on Thermal Transfer ribbons. There, he oversaw operations spanning the Americas, with full P&L responsibility for a $200 million business and a workforce of more than 1,000 employees.
