Do you think you could have kept up with chocolates on the conveyor — or been better at stomping the grapes in Italy?
If you get either of these ‘I Love Lucy’ references, you might want to attend the ‘I Love Lucy’ event that’s taking place on June 1 at 1958 Cuban Cuisine in Westfield. (Get tickets here.)
The fundraising dinner: A Tribute to Lucy and Desi: Celebrating 75 years of Classic TV That Changed America, will salute the incredible talent and cultural impact of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
It comes courtesy of the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute at Seton Hall, which is using the event to help expand educational and cultural programming – and provide scholarships.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Authentic Havana-inspired dishes;
- Lively Classic Latin rhythms;
- Surprises worthy of a classic TV moment;
- Guests in retro attire.
Lori Tarke, the Executive Director at the Institute, said the night promises to have plenty of food and fun.
Here’s what it won’t have: Servings of Vitameatavegamin.
This event will feature drinks from Jersey’s own, Senor Sangria.
Get tickets here; registration ends Wednesday.
