Jersey Mike’s taps former Wyndham executive Michele Allen as CFO

Manasquan-based Jersey Mike’s Subs, a leading franchisor of fast-casual sandwich shops, today announced the appointment of Michele Allen as its chief financial officer (CFO), effective Dec. 1. Allen brings over 25 years of financial leadership experience at the intersection of hospitality and franchising, positioning her to guide the company through its next phase of rapid global expansion.

Allen succeeds Walter Tombs, who is retiring in January 2026 after 26 years of service to Jersey Mike’s. Tombs will remain with the company as an advisor throughout 2026 to ensure a smooth transition.

As CFO, Allen will oversee Jersey Mike’s global finance organization, supply chain, and enterprise performance management, supporting the company’s aggressive growth plans across the U.S. and into key international markets.

Allen most recently served as chief financial officer and head of strategy at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts one of the world’s largest franchising companies. Her extensive background includes leading finance teams and guiding companies through strategic transformations and the demands of the public markets.

“As we look ahead, Michele will be an excellent addition to our leadership team, bringing valuable experience to help guide the Company through its next phase of evolution as we continue to scale,” Charlie Morrison, CEO of Jersey Mike’s said. “Her deep expertise in franchise-first business models, combined with her track record of building high-performing finance teams and leading through transformation… makes her exceptionally well-suited to support our continued growth.”

Allen expressed enthusiasm for joining a brand with significant momentum. “Jersey Mike’s combines strong unit economics, a powerful franchise model, and a culture grounded in service and integrity,” Allen said. “I look forward to partnering with Charlie, the leadership team, and our franchisees to build on the Company’s success and help shape its next chapter of growth.”

Allen’s appointment is part of a strategic effort by Jersey Mike’s to bolster its executive team for international growth. In recent months, the company has welcomed other key leaders, including:

  • Stacy Peterson as president and chief operating officer (U.S. operations).

  • Betsy Mercado as chief people officer (people strategy and culture).

  • Andy Skehan as president of international (global growth initiatives).
