Levin Management expands Central Jersey portfolio with new high-profile assignments

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) kicked off 2026 by significantly broadening its partnership with a longtime client, adding nearly 260,000 square feet of prime retail space to its management portfolio.

The expansion includes the management of The Shoppes at North Brunswick (147,000 SF) and Inman Grove Shopping Center in Edison (113,000 SF). With these additions, LMC now oversees five properties totaling approximately 694,000 square feet for this specific ownership group, a relationship that has spanned a decade.

The decision by the ownership group to consolidate these assets under LMC’s oversight reflects a deep-seated confidence in the firm’s “hands-on” operational style.

“This ownership is familiar with our capabilities in delivering high-quality commercial real estate services and wanted to bring that same level of consistency to these assets,” said Joseph Lowry, LMC’s senior vice president of acquisitions and business development said. “Our team takes pride in protecting and enhancing value through strong property presentation, responsive tenant relations, and disciplined operational oversight.”

The two new assignments represent significant “daily needs” and lifestyle destinations in the Central Jersey corridor:

The Shoppes at North Brunswick

This 47-tenant lifestyle center is a powerhouse for regional traffic, attracting 2.4 million visitors annually.

  • Anchor & Key Tenants: Starbucks, Chipotle, Bath & Body Works, Banana Republic, and Orangetheory Fitness.

  • Strategic Location: Situated near the intersection of Route 1 and Route 130 (100,000 vehicles daily) and just minutes from Rutgers University.

Inman Grove Shopping Center (Edison)

A 113,000-square-foot neighborhood center that serves as a vital community hub with 1.4 million annual visitors.

  • New Development: The center will soon welcome Gopal Supermarket, a new Indian grocer, in the former Stop & Shop anchor space.

  • Tenant Mix: Wells Fargo, Taco Bell, The UPS Store, and CSL Plasma.

The expansion of LMC’s management platform underscores a broader trend in New Jersey commercial real estate: the flight to quality management. As retail corridors become more competitive, property owners are increasingly relying on firms that can provide data-driven insights (such as Placer.ai traffic analytics) and rigorous maintenance to preserve asset value.

LMC’s managed portfolio for this client now includes:

  1. Oak Tree Center (Edison) – 193,000 SF

  2. Festival Plaza (Edison) – 173,000 SF

  3. The Shoppes at North Brunswick – 147,000 SF

  4. Inman Grove Shopping Center (Edison) – 113,000 SF

  5. Somerset Shopping Plaza (Franklin Park) – 68,000 SF
