The New Jersey Energy Policy Coalition recently honored five individuals for their leadership and service in the energy space.
Alexander Hamilton Energy Leadership Award: For visionary leadership linking energy policy and economic growth in New Jersey.
- NJBPU Commissioner Michael Bange
- South Jersey Industries CEO Michael Renna
Workforce Development Award: Recognizing outstanding efforts in workforce education, apprenticeships, and career development in the energy sector.
- State Sen. Andrew Zwicker (Hillsborough)
Public Service & Policy Impact Award: For transformative contributions to New Jersey’s energy policy and public service.
- Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo (D-Hamilton Square)
- State Sen. Declan O’Scanlon (R-Holmdel)
NJ Energy Policy Coalition President Erick Ford said the first-ever awards event was a huge success.
“We were thrilled to see a packed room filled with our members, sponsors, friends and supporters,” he said. “Your engagement and enthusiasm made this event truly memorable and showed the strength of the NJEPC community.
“The coalition congratulates all awardees for their achievements, service, and ongoing dedication to New Jersey’s energy future. Their leadership continues to inspire and guide the work of the NJEPC and the broader energy community.
Looking ahead, Ford said the NJEPC is planning a number of events on the issues, including:
- Jan. 29, 2026: Legislative discussion with Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak (D-Edison) and Assemblyman David Bailey (D-Glassboro) (virtual)
- Feb. 25, 2026: NJEPC Conference: Powering the Advanced Industrial Revolution (at Forsgate Country Club, Monroe)
