New Jersey’s Latino population continues to grow, now representing more than 22% of
the state’s residents — over 2 million people. Despite this, communications, outreach
and engagement efforts often fail to reflect this diversity.
Highly regarded communications strategist Marelyn Rivera is looking to change that
with the launch of Conexión Strategies, a bilingual (English & Spanish) communications, marketing and community engagement agency dedicated to helping organizations strengthen their outreach and deepen connections across New Jersey’s diverse communities.
Rivera, who has more than a decade of experience in public affairs, community
engagement and cross-sector partnerships, said her firm will specialize in messaging
and strategies rooted in lived experience and cultural fluency.
“Our state is incredibly diverse, and every community deserves communications that
respect their culture, reflect their experiences, and invite them to participate,” she said.
“Conexión Strategies is here to help organizations communicate more effectively, build
trust, and strengthen their impact through real, community-centered connection.”
Conexión Strategies will offer a comprehensive portfolio of services that support
organizations, agencies and campaigns in building authentic communication and
meaningful public engagement.
- Marketing and bilingual communications
- Strategic partnerships
- Events coordination and promotion
- Campaigns and advocacy
Rivera said Conexión Strategies will operates with a clear mission and a powerful
vision: To deliver authentic communications paired with grassroots interfacing to
strengthen the connectivity between organizations and New Jersey’s diverse
communities.
Her goal: “Creating a New Jersey where all communities are not just reached, but
empowered — shaping conversations, influencing policy and driving collective
progress.”
