County College of Morris President Anthony Iacono was given the 2026 CEO Award for the Northeast Region from the Association of Community College Trustees , one of five regional honors the national group hands out each year.
ACCT is the trade group for the volunteers who actually run the country’s two-year colleges. It represents more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees sitting on over 500 governing boards, covering community, technical and junior colleges in the U.S. and beyond. Those boards make the calls that shape more than 1,000 colleges and upward of 10 million students a year.
The honor is not surprising. CCM is in the middle of one of the most aggressive workforce-development expansions of any community college in the region.
The new Morris County Career Training Center, a $26.8 million partnership with the Morris County Vocational School District, adds 500 career-and-technical-education seats in fields ranging from artificial intelligence and renewable energy to medical assisting and supply-chain management. It’s part of a broader strategy that has made CCM one of only two community colleges selected for New Jersey’s first U.S. Department of Labor–Registered Data Scientist/AI Apprenticeship, tying the school directly to the Princeton-based New Jersey AI Hub and positioning it as a statewide leader in next-generation talent development.
CCM’s physical footprint and industry reach are expanding just as quickly. A $1 million Delta Dental Foundation gift — the largest corporate foundation donation in the college’s history — is fueling new Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs inside the forthcoming 80,000-square-foot Center for Health Professions.
The college also opened the Center for Entrepreneurship & Culinary Science, celebrated with chef David Burke, which anchors the Culinary and Hospitality Arts Institute of New Jersey and connects students directly to regional employers. And CCM’s partnership with Crum & Forster is strengthening the College Promise Program for first-generation students in Morristown and Dover, pairing scholarships with mentoring and career exploration.
On Monday, the school is formally welcoming The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art to the college.
