Edison-based Albireo Energy has named Kevin Baxter as its CEO, replacing Larry Wash, as part of a leadership transition at Huron Capital, confirming its long-term strategy in the company.
Wash will continue with his role as co-chairman.
Baxter has served as the company’s president since 2023, playing a central role in leading Albireo Energy’s growth strategy, overseeing sales performance, and operating results.
Baxter led the company to strong, profitable growth and a near-balanced mix of building-controls solutions and ongoing services. He spearheaded the company’s regional go-to-market approach and advanced data center, mission-critical, energy procurement, and Intelligent Services strategies.
Baxter previously held senior leadership positions at Munch’s Supply, Trane Technologies and KONE.
He is recognized for driving transformational growth in service and brings experience in talent development, service expansion, and long-term business sustainability, according to an Albireo Energy release.
As co-Chairman, Wash will continue to focus on the company’s M&A activity, support strategic planning, engage with key customers, and provide governance along with the company’s Board of Directors.
Wash has led Albireo Energy through significant transformation in the past three years under Wash, improving operational performance and establishing a long-term strategy centered on the company’s five Must Win Battles: People, Smart Growth, Service, Project Excellence and Cash.
Wash led the company’s efforts to integrate 24 acquisitions into a single operating platform, record sustained EBITDA growth, and achieve strong customer satisfaction and retention.
