Iselin-based Cenntro delivers LS450 electric trucks in U.S.

Cenntro Inc., an Iselin-headquartered electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced it has completed key deliveries of its LS450 purpose-built electric trucks in the United States, backed by state and municipal government incentive programs aimed at commercial fleet decarbonization.

The Middlesex County EV developer confirmed the delivery of 20 LS450 electric trucks under the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), generating more than $2.44 million in total revenue.

In addition to the NYTVIP deliveries, Cenntro plans to roll out LS450 units under the New York City Clean Trucks Program (NYCCTP), extending its participation in regional initiatives designed to help municipal and commercial fleet operators accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles.

Cenntro also confirmed that the LS450 has qualified for listing under the New Jersey Zero-Emission Incentive Program (NJ ZIP), administered by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), as well as the California Clean Fuel Reward (CCFR).

The NJ ZIP qualification enables local commercial fleets across New Jersey to access point-of-sale vouchers, significantly lowering the upfront capital expenditures required to adopt medium- and heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles across the Garden State.

“Delivering 20 LS450 trucks under New York State’s incentive program is an important step in expanding our U.S. commercial vehicle business,” said Peter Wang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cenntro. “These programs help lower the upfront investment for eligible customers and support their transition to electric vehicles. With deliveries underway under New York programs and eligibility in California and New Jersey, we see opportunities to bring the LS450 to more fleet operators.”

Government voucher programs play a critical role in closing the cost parity gap between traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) commercial trucks and zero-emission electric vehicles.

By participating in state-sponsored clean transit initiatives across New Jersey, New York, and California, Cenntro aims to drive broader adoption among logistics providers, last-mile delivery services, and municipal public works fleets.
