Care Plus NJ hiring multidisciplinary team for new 24/7 Crisis Center in Paramus

As it prepares for its upcoming opening, Care Plus NJ—a leading nonprofit provider of integrated behavioral health and substance use disorder services—is actively recruiting clinical, medical, and peer support professionals for its new Crisis Receiving Stabilization Center (CRSC) in Paramus.

A new 24/7 community-based alternative

The Paramus facility is designed to serve as a short-term, community-based alternative to traditional hospital emergency departments for adults experiencing behavioral health or substance use emergencies. Operating 24/7, the center will accept individuals via walk-ins, referrals, and emergency drop-offs, providing voluntary in-person crisis intervention, stabilization, clinical assessments, and peer support for stays of up to 24 hours.

The hiring initiative follows New Jersey Human Services’ recent $16.45 million investment to support the phased rollout of five crisis stabilization centers across the state. While onboarding staff, Care Plus NJ continues to advocate for sustainable, long-term recurring funding to support ongoing operations.

Open positions and multidisciplinary team

Care Plus NJ is recruiting across several areas to build a comprehensive, coordinated care team. Open roles include:

  • Therapists and Clinicians
  • Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
  • Part-Time Psychiatrist
  • Behavioral Health Technicians
  • Certified Medical Assistants
  • Peer Support and Recovery Specialists

Sign-on bonuses are available for select positions.

“Effective crisis care requires more than responding quickly. It requires professionals from multiple disciplines working together to understand each person’s needs, stabilize the immediate crisis and determine the appropriate next step in care,” Brigitte Johnson, President and CEO of Care Plus NJ said. “As we prepare to open the CRSC, our focus is on hiring skilled professionals who can deliver that coordinated, compassionate care 24 hours a day.”
