Christian Health elevates Amy Shotmeyer Porter to EVP and COO

Christian Health announced the promotion of Amy Shotmeyer Porter to executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.

In her expanded leadership capacity, Shotmeyer Porter will oversee a comprehensive portfolio of clinical, residential, and support services across the Wyckoff-based healthcare organization. Her expanded portfolio includes Post-Acute Care Services, Mental Health Services, Residential Services, Home and Community-Based Care, Pastoral Care, and Environmental Services, while maintaining executive oversight of Legal, Corporate Compliance, and Government Affairs.

Since joining Christian Health in 2024 as in-house counsel, Shotmeyer Porter has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s strategic, regulatory, and operational initiatives.

“Amy is an exceptional leader and trusted partner who brings sound judgment, a deep understanding of our organization, and an unwavering commitment to our mission,” Stephen Dumke, president and chief executive officer of Christian Health, said. “Her leadership will strengthen alignment across our continuum of care, support greater collaboration, and ensure that we remain well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of those we serve.”

Before entering the nonprofit healthcare sector, Shotmeyer Porter spent 16 years at the law firm DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, advancing from a law clerk to an equity partner with a specialized focus on risk management, insurance coverage, patient safety, and complex litigation.

Her professional achievements have earned widespread recognition throughout the legal and business communities.

“It is an honor to take on this expanded role and continue serving an organization whose mission means so much to me,” Shotmeyer Porter said. “I look forward to working alongside our talented leaders and team members to build on Christian Health’s strong foundation and ensure that we continue providing exceptional care and support to our patients, residents, clients, families, and communities.”

Founded in 1911, Christian Health provides a diverse continuum of mental health programs, senior residential living communities, rehabilitation services, and wellness education across Northern New Jersey.
