Atlantic Health’s Goryeb Children’s Hospital has cracked U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals list for the first time.
The Morristown hospital ranked No. 3 in New Jersey and tied for No. 6 in the New York-New Jersey metro area in the 2026-27 rankings, which were released Tuesday morning.
Goryeb also earned national specialty rankings in:
- Pediatric Neonatology (No. 46)
- Pediatric Diabetes & Endocrinology (No. 46)
Atlantic Health CEO Saad Ehtisham applauded the announcement.
“Being recognized for the first time as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospital is a proud and historic milestone for Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s Hospital,” he said. “This achievement reflects our relentless focus on providing the highest level of pediatric care and improving the health and well-being of the children and families who rely on us.”
For the 2026-27 rankings, U.S. News and RTI International, a North Carolina-based research firm, collected and analyzed data from 114 children’s hospitals nationwide and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists.
Hospitals earning a “Best” designation were evaluated on clinical outcomes, adherence to established best practices, and the level and quality of hospital resources tied directly to patient care.
“Earning a place on U.S. News’ Best Children’s Hospitals list is a testament to Atlantic Health Goryeb Children’s dedication to clinical excellence and patient safety,” Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News, said.
“These rankings highlight the standout hospitals in each specialty and each region.”
