Atlantic Health has named Dr. Vicki LoPachin as its new executive vice president and chief medical officer, the health system announced.
In the role, LoPachin will serve as Atlantic Health’s principal clinical strategist, working across the enterprise to drive performance improvement, clinical excellence and value-based care. She’ll also help shape clinical initiatives and care delivery models, including developing care pathways aimed at improving patient access and supporting transitions of care.
Atlantic Health CEO Saad Ehtisham said LoPachin’s experience makes her well-suited for the role.
“With decades of hands-on clinical experience and proven strategic and operational leadership, Vicki is perfectly positioned to achieve our cutting-edge clinical vision,” he said. “We look forward to her advancement of quality and safety, clinical research, and medical education, and know she will elevate the voice of our clinicians and educators while improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.”
LoPachin brings more than 20 years of experience across academic medicine, multihospital health systems and private practice.
Most recently, she served as Chief Medical Officer at Mount Sinai Health System, where she helped lead enterprise quality, patient safety and regulatory strategy, as well as the organization’s COVID-19 response, while driving measurable improvements in clinical outcomes.
LoPachin said she’s looking forward to joining Atlantic Health’s team.
