Made Scientific, a Princeton-based clinical- and commercial-stage cell therapy contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), announced on Monday that it significantly added to its U.S. East Coast footprint through the acquisition of an 85,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in East Norriton, Pennsylvania, from National Resilience.
The transaction, which officially closed on Sept. 18, expands Made Scientific’s total operational footprint to approximately 145,000 square feet and brings its network capacity to 15 qualified Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) suites.
Unlike a greenfield development that requires lengthy construction and qualification timelines, the East Norriton site is operational on day one.
The facility and its experienced manufacturing team bring a proven track record, having already successfully executed 145 GMP batches across multiple autologous and allogeneic pipelines, including CAR-T and B-cell therapies. Because the infrastructure is fully vetted and running, client sponsors can onboard their programs immediately, avoiding multi-year build-out delays and targeting clinical and commercial supply by 2027.
Purpose-built for end-to-end cell therapy production, the Pennsylvania location features robust, segregated GMP production areas, which include:
- Eight Grade B/C cleanrooms
- One Grade C ballroom
- One Grade B fill-finish suite
- On-site quality control (QC), analytical testing laboratories, and high-bay warehousing
Additionally, the property includes 30,000 square feet of designated expansion space engineered to accommodate up to eight additional ballrooms for future client custom builds. Made Scientific plans to equip the location with scalable 3D bioreactor platforms (up to 200L), advanced cell harvesting tools, automated fill-finish systems, and lyophilization capabilities.
The expansion arrives at a critical juncture for the cell therapy sector, which is currently experiencing industry-wide consolidation and tightening market capacity just as more advanced therapies enter late-stage clinical trials and regulatory review.

Made Scientific is positioning its dual-facility network (spanning Princeton, New Jersey, and East Norriton, Pennsylvania) to minimize transition risks and offer geographic redundancy. The company is actively preparing its Princeton facility for an FDA pre-licensure inspection (PLI) in early 2027, with the East Norriton site slated to follow.
