Suburban Propane and The NASCAR Foundation deliver Speedy Bears to St. Joseph’s University Hospital

As part of its ongoing SuburbanCares community initiative, Suburban Propane Partners, L.P. teamed up with The NASCAR Foundation to deliver NASCAR-themed Speedy Bears to pediatric patients at St. Joseph’s University Hospital in Paterson.

The hospital visit, timed following National Teddy Bear Day, is part of The NASCAR Foundation’s Speediatrics Children’s Fund Speedy Bear Program. The annual initiative brings comfort to young patients across North America, distributing more than 5,000 teddy bears to approximately 135 hospitals in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico each year.

“At Suburban Propane, caring for our communities extends far beyond delivering propane,” Nandini Sankara, vice president of Marketing & Brand Strategy at Suburban Propane, said. “Through SuburbanCares, we’re proud to partner with The NASCAR Foundation to bring comfort to children facing difficult circumstances. We hope these Speedy Bears provide smiles, encouragement and a reminder that an entire community is thinking about them.”

The pediatric outreach marks the first of two community-focused initiatives for the company this week. On September 11, Suburban Propane is sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive in Jersey City, New Jersey, continuing a nationwide partnership that has helped collect thousands of lifesaving blood donations over the past decade.

Headquartered in Whippany, New Jersey, Suburban Propane has served residential and commercial customers since 1928 and maintains deep community engagement roots through its corporate social responsibility and national partnerships.
