The Campbell’s Company renews longstanding NFL partnership, expanding rights into frozen meals

The Campbell’s Company has announced a renewed and expanded partnership with the National Football League (NFL), officially cementing its status as the second-longest-running sponsor in league history.

Entering its 29th year, the collaboration—which began in 1997 when Campbell’s became the League’s Official Soup Sponsor—now expands into the single-serve frozen meal category for the first time.

At the forefront of the expanded agreement is Campbell’s Chunky®, a game-day staple. The brand recently ventured beyond the soup aisle with the introduction of Chunky Frozen Bowls—microwaveable, single-serve meals delivering 20 to 28 grams of protein per bowl in hearty varieties like Chili Mac, Buffalo-Style Chicken Mac & Cheese, and Philly Cheesesteak Mac & Cheese.

The multi-year renewal gives the new frozen lineup a major stage for the upcoming football season, catering to fans tailgating, hosting watch parties, or grabbing a quick meal between plays.

“Our nearly 30-year partnership with the NFL is rooted in a simple truth: great food has always been part of the game day experience,” Jill Pratt, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at The Campbell’s Company, said. “With Chunky Frozen Bowls, we’re giving fans another delicious and satisfying way to enjoy that tradition throughout the season.”

“Campbell’s has been a trusted partner for nearly three decades, with food that is a centerpiece of NFL gameday traditions,” Tracie Rodburg, senior vice president of global sponsorship at the NFL, said. “We’re excited to continue working with Campbell’s on an expanded lineup of fan favorites.”

Throughout the season, Campbell’s Chunky will roll out high-profile marketing activations, continuing a legacy of memorable campaigns that celebrate players, fans, and the culture of football.

Headquartered in Camden since 1869, The Campbell’s Company manages a robust portfolio of iconic brands across its Meals & Beverages and Snacks divisions, generating $10.3 billion in net sales for fiscal 2025.
