Law firm Einhorn, Barbarito, Frost, Botwinick, Nunn & Musmanno PC has announced the promotion of Rudolf “Rudy” Lys to the position of executive director.
Lys originally joined the firm in November 2020 as director of accounting. Over the past several years, leadership noted that he expanded his responsibilities far beyond the traditional scope of accounting, establishing himself as a core driver of the firm’s daily business operations.
Firm leadership highlighted several major initiatives spearheaded by Lys that paved the way for his promotion:
- Office reorganization: Successfully led the restructuring and reorganization of the firm’s Hackensack office.
- Team integration: Played an instrumental role in onboarding incoming legal teams.
- Process optimization: Implemented streamlined administrative procedures to boost overall firm efficiency.
Leadership commentary
Managing Partner Matheu Nunn praised Lys’s work ethic and problem-solving abilities, stating, “Over the past several years, Rudy has demonstrated exceptional dedication and consistently stepped forward to take on complex operational challenges.”
Co-Managing Partner Gary Botwinick outlined the scope of Lys’s new mandate: “As Executive Director, Rudy will oversee the firm’s daily administrative operations and supervise our administrative professionals. Mat and I have come to rely on Rudy’s judgment, commitment and ability to drive meaningful change.”
Director of Human Resources Melissa Schmieder emphasized the trust Lys has built across the organization. “Rudy has earned the trust and confidence of the firm’s leadership through his collaborative approach, operational expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence,” she noted.
Before stepping into legal operations and management, Lys built a strong foundation in finance. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Old Westbury, where he balanced his studies as a four-year varsity athlete competing in both basketball and cross country.
