Hudson Realty closes $14 million sale of apartment community in Belleville

Hudson Atlantic Realty has closed the $14 million sale of Washington Heights, a 66-unit garden apartment community at 550 Washington Avenue in Belleville.

The Oct. 23 sale closed at $212,000/unit, setting a per-unit record for rent-controlled garden apartments in Belleville, according to Hudson Atlantic Realty.

The transaction was exclusively brokered by Adam Zweibel, president of Hudson Atlantic
Realty, on behalf of the seller. Abe Weinberg of Axial Partners hired Adam Zweibel to exclusively list and market the property. Zweibel ran the marketing process and found the buyer.

Built in 1972, Washington Heights consists of three three-story garden apartment buildings on 2 acres. The community incudes 48 one-bedroom/one-bath apartments and 18 two-bedroom/one-bath apartments.
