Veteran multifamily investment broker Debbie Pomerantz has launched a new independent commercial real estate brokerage, DLP Real Estate, marking the debut with the $13.25 million sale of a newly built luxury apartment community in Raritan.
Pomerantz, the founding principal of DLP, handled the sale of Raritan Riverside, a 42-unit property at 21 Orlando Drive that was completed earlier this year. She represented the seller and procured the buyer, who was not disclosed.
The launch of DLP follows Pomerantz’s tenure as a senior vice president at a North Jersey multifamily brokerage. The Raritan Riverside deal is her first transaction under the new banner.
The two-story community, designed in a Tudor architectural style to match the borough’s character, includes a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with modern layouts and high-end finishes. The property also connects directly to Somerset County’s Greenway network through a newly completed bike path.
“Launching DLP Real Estate allows me to bring a highly agile, creative and unencumbered approach to the multifamily investment sales market,” Pomerantz said in a statement. “Raritan Riverside is the perfect flagship transaction to debut the firm.”
Pomerantz has worked in commercial real estate for more than two decades, rising from a brokerage trainee to one of the region’s most active investment sales professionals. Her experience spans multifamily, retail, mixed-use and land transactions across New Jersey, New York and Greater Philadelphia. She is also an active multifamily investor and property owner.
An award-winning Woman of Influence in commercial real estate, Pomerantz has been involved with the New Jersey Property Owner’s Association, the National Property Owner’s Association and several local business groups.
DLP Real Estate will focus on multifamily and retail investment sales across the tri-state region, targeting institutional investors, private equity funds, family offices and private buyers.
