Shipt partners with Wakefern Food Corp. to expand same-say grocery delivery across the Northeast

Same-day delivery platform Shipt has partnered with Wakefern Food Corp., the nation’s largest retailer-owned supermarket cooperative, to roll out same-day grocery delivery across more than 350 stores in the Northeast.

The strategic alliance brings eight popular supermarket banners to the Shipt Marketplace, granting regional shoppers expanded access to fresh produce, pantry staples, and household goods from local grocers.

Through the agreement, Shipt users across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, and Massachusetts can now order delivery from a diverse array of Wakefern-backed cooperative members, including:

  • ShopRite: Serving major metropolitan centers, including Jersey City, Philadelphia, Hartford, Baltimore, and Long Island.
  • Price Rite Marketplace: Locations spanning North Jersey, Rochester, Buffalo, Albany, Hartford, Boston, Philadelphia, and Scranton.
  • The Fresh Grocer: Serving North Jersey, Jersey City, New York, Philadelphia, Scranton, and Allentown.
  • Fairway Market & Gourmet Garage: Regional specialty grocery destinations across New York City.
  • Morton Williams: Urban neighborhood stores throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, and Jersey City.
  • Di Bruno Bros. & Dearborn Market: Specialty food markets serving the Greater Philadelphia and Monmouth County, New Jersey regions.

“Whether it’s the ingredients for Sunday dinner, food for a busy week ahead, or last-minute snacks for your child’s soccer team, reliability and convenience matter,” Katie Stratton, Chief Growth & Strategy Officer at Shipt said. “We’re excited to welcome these highly requested and beloved grocery banners to Shipt and help more of our Northeast customers access the grocery brands they know and trust.”

The partnership expands Wakefern’s digital footprint, offering its member-owners an additional e-commerce channel alongside existing store-level delivery and pickup operations.

“For generations, our family-owned supermarkets have been helping families put meals on the table across the Northeast,” Darren Caudill, chief sales officer for Wakefern Food Corp. said. “This new relationship with Shipt gives customers another easy way to shop the stores and products they know and trust.”

To celebrate the launch, Shipt is offering a promotional discount of 50% off orders of $50 or more for first-time Wakefern banner shoppers using the platform through mid-November 2026.
