Commvault, a Tinton Falls-based player in unified resilience at enterprise scale, has named Brian Lanigan as its new chief partner officer.
Lanigan joins the firm with over 20 years of experience in scaling partner organizations across the cybersecurity and enterprise software sectors. In his new role, he will report to Geoff Haydon, president of Customer and Field Operations, and will be tasked with steering Commvault’s Global Partner Organization.
His mandate includes driving the company’s worldwide partner strategy and broadening its ecosystem of hyperscalers, managed service providers (MSPs), distributors, resellers, and systems integrators.
“Partners are central to our growth strategy and to helping customers advance resilience readiness in an increasingly complex AI and cyber landscape,” Haydon said. “Brian brings significant cybersecurity expertise to Commvault and has a proven track record of building world-class partner programs and driving measurable business results.”
Lanigan’s professional background includes key leadership roles at major industry players such as SentinelOne, Lacework, Splunk, and HP Software, where he focused on expanding cloud ecosystems and strengthening strategic alliances.
“Commvault has established itself as a trusted leader in AI and cyber resilience, and I’m excited to join the team at such a pivotal time for customers and partners,” Lanigan said in a statement. “I look forward to working with our global partner ecosystem to create new opportunities for growth, deliver exceptional customer outcomes, and expand the value Commvault brings to organizations around the world.”
The appointment comes as Commvault continues to position its cloud-native, AI-enabled platform to help organizations manage data security and identity resilience in the face of evolving AI-driven threats.
