In a major boost to the local economy, Optimum Business and the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce have announced the launch of “Lifting up Small Businesses in Woodbridge, New Jersey,” a new initiative designed to provide direct financial support to the township’s entrepreneurial community.
The program will award $5,000 grants to 25 selected small businesses, totaling $125,000 in direct investment aimed at fostering growth and long-term success.
The partnership is designed not only to provide capital but also to integrate new businesses into the regional professional network. Applicants who are not currently members of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce will receive a six-month complimentary membership for 2026, granting them immediate access to networking and development resources.
“Small businesses play a vital role in strengthening local communities,” Elton Hart, vice president and general manager of Optimum Tri-State said. “Through this partnership… Optimum Business is proud to help launch a program that provides meaningful support to local small businesses and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering the connectivity, tools, and resources they need to grow and succeed.”
Local leadership has welcomed the initiative as a critical step in maintaining the municipality’s economic health.
“Woodbridge is home to a strong, vibrant and diverse business community,” Mayor John McCormac said. “We’re proud to see organizations like Optimum Business partner with the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Township Administration to make a direct investment in strengthening Woodbridge’s small business community.”
Holly Church-Doyle, executive director of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce, echoed this sentiment, calling small businesses the “backbone” of the local economy. “By investing in their growth and success, we’re helping strengthen the local business community for years to come,” she said.
This initiative is the latest in a series of community-focused efforts by Optimum Business, building on the success of a similar grant program previously launched in Edison, New Jersey.
The program organizers expect to announce the 25 grant recipients in late 2026, at which point Optimum Business plans to host a series of recognition events featuring local officials and key community partners.
