Optimum has announced a $25,000 statewide donation distributed across seven Boys & Girls Clubs in New Jersey, bolstering academic enrichment, digital literacy, and STEM education for local youth.
The latest contribution brings Optimum’s cumulative support for New Jersey Boys & Girls Clubs to nearly $150,000 since the partnership began in 2021.
As part of the initiative, Optimum teamed up with Warner Bros. Discovery to host high-energy back-to-school events in August. Together, the partners distributed more than 1,000 backpacks packed with essential school supplies to students and families in Elizabeth, Paterson, and Passaic, complete with music, refreshments, and family activities.
Optimum’s $25,000 in funding directly supports chapters across the Garden State, including:
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (Asbury Park)
- Boys & Girls Club of Clifton
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County (Elizabeth)
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County (Lodi)
- Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest New Jersey (Wayne)
- Boys & Girls Club of Newark
Beyond financial contributions, Optimum’s ongoing collaboration provides clubs with critical technological resources, high-speed internet access, and hands-on STEM learning programs designed to equip students for long-term academic and career growth.
“Optimum is proud to support Boys & Girls Clubs across New Jersey and help expand access to academic enrichment, STEM education, digital literacy, scholarships, and other resources that help young people thrive,” Elton Hart, vice president and general manager of Optimum Tri-State said. “Through these donations and ongoing community partnerships, we are investing in students’ long-term success and strengthening the communities we serve throughout the Garden State.”
