Mercer County officially welcomed Breeze Airways to Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN) on Sept. 20, marking the carrier’s official launch at the Mercer County hub.
County Executive Dan Benson was on-site to greet passengers on the inaugural flight from Charleston International Airport (CHS), which touched down at approximately 4:00 p.m. The return flight to Charleston departed shortly after at 6:00 p.m., capping off the airline’s first day of operations in the region.
Boosting local travel and economic growth
The new partnership brings low-cost, high-value travel options directly to Central New Jersey travelers, bolstering Trenton-Mercer Airport’s standing as a regional economic and travel driver.
“I’m excited to welcome travelers to and from Charleston on Breeze Airways’ first flights out of Trenton Mercer Airport,” County Executive Benson said. “With nonstop flights to multiple destinations, our partnership with Breeze helps us continue to bring affordable travel options that will further solidify Mercer County as an economic hub and tourist destination.”

Expanding route network
Breeze’s initial rollout establishes key connections for regional travelers, with several additional routes slated to roll out:
- Charleston, SC (CHS): Nonstop service operating Thursdays and Sundays.
- Vero Beach, FL (VRB): Direct service launching soon.
- Fort Myers, FL (RSW): Upcoming nonstop additions.
- Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL): One-stop “BreezeThru” service.
