ShopRite of Paramus opened a new Electrify America fast charging station in the store’s parking lot at 224 Rt. 4 East this week.
The new station features six Hyper-Fast chargers, each capable of delivering up to 350kW.

Terry Glass, co-CEO and co-president of Glass Gardens, which owns and operates the store, said in a release that the station demonstrates his embrace of sustainable solutions and that it underscores our focus on innovation, convenience, and the evolving needs of the people he serves.
The installation is part of a broader effort by the Keasbey-based retailer-owned supermarket cooperative Wakefern Food Corp. to expand electric vehicle charging across ShopRite locations.
The new charging station in Paramus is the third ShopRite location in the state, joining those at the Flemington and Moorestown supermarkets.
New sites for the state-of-the-art charging stations at ShopRite are being identified.
Eight additional charging stations are planned for ShopRite locations across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania this year.
In August, six new public-access electric vehicle (EV) charging stations became operational in Parsippany, thanks to a project completed by Encore Energy Group. The stations at 35 Waterview Boulevard are publicly accessible and provide a convenient charging option for commuters and visitors near Interstate-287 and Route 46.
